Happy. Monday.

Written by
Monday gets a bad rap. I totally get it. Who wants the weekend to be over? Not this gal! I really think 3-day weekends should be the the norm. That's because it takes a full day to catch-up on stuff you couldn't get to during the week, and then we need two other days to decompress. And for me, I finally get the chance to sleep like a human, so... But here are a couple of reasons why Monday shouldn't be your nemesis.  1. You have a clean slate. 2. It's a great time to set new goals. 3. Your…

Giggles

Written by
I love irony. And in this case, it's a good thing. Giggles the cat has a permanent scowl on his face. When he was brought to Riggi Rescue in Streetsboro, he was covered in ticks, wasn't neutered and had a bite wound from a cat fight. Poor little dude!  But he got his happy ending. Giggles-- the viral sensation-- found his furever home.            View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Riggi Rescue (@riggirescue)

Boy Wonder

What were you doing at the age of six? Riding bikes? Easy video games? Playing tag? Like most 6-year-olds. Arham Om Talsania of Ahmedabad, India, may be doing all of that, too. But at the age of 6, he's also a Guiness World Record holder-- for being the world's youngest computer programmer. He passed the Microsoft certification exam for the Python programming language-- no small feat.    Now that he's set for life... I feel so.... under-accomplished. LOL

Nap Time!

Written by
There are so many wonderful things to love about Thanksgiving: 1. The food 2. The food 3. Nap time It's inevitable. After stuffing yourself with sleepy turkey and all the sides, and then some pie(s), well, a nap is going to happen. So why not nap like a boss with this turkey pillow from Arby's: But this is no ordinary pillow. You wear it like a hat, and it covers your eyes. So, in theory, you can sleep sitting up-- or put your head down anywhere and catch some zzzzs. Would napping at the dining room table be inappropriate?  …

Bockpot Yum

Written by
We'll soon be returning to stick-to-your-ribs recipes. And this one qualifies as a lot of comfort food yum. Plus, it was a hit with my peeps. Enjoy! Crockpot Italian Chicken Ingredients: 4 chicken breasts (I used 3) 8 oz. cream cheese (softened, and cut into cubes) 1 packet Zesty Italian seasoning 2 cans cream of chicken soup Directions: Throw everything in the crockpot. Cook on low for 4 hours. Shred the chicken and stir it all up. If the sauce is too thin, add a little milk. Serve over pasta. Eat a lot, and then take a nap...

Turkey Foot

Smell that? It's almost turkey time! Nike is feeling all kinds of Thanksgiving with its release of their new TurDUNKen sneaker. See what they did there? A play on that interesting turkey/chicken/duck thing that some people like to indulge in.  The show is a tri-toned suede with a blue/green shimmering tongue. They'll set you back $120. But if shoes are your thing, then... Click HERE to peep the TurDUNKens.

This is Golden

Written by
It's been a stressful few days (the entire year).  This will make it better:   These rare golden Bengal tigers were born October 19th. Their pale, blonde coat and brown stripes come froma recessive gene that affects how they produce black pigment during their hair-growth cycle. Only 30 golden Bengals exist in the wild because of their extremely low fertility rate.

Pizza Party

Written by
The party I most align with is... pizza. Long lines are expected at polling places across The Land today. With that in mind, Pizza to the Polls wants to make sure no voter goes hungry. So far, the non-profit has delivered over 14,000 pizzas to 748 polling places in 36 states this year. Here's how to get free pizza to your poll: Tweet to Pizza to the polls to report your location, and share a photo if you can. Confirm the location. A nearby restaurant will deliver the food within 90 minutes of the line being reported. Fabulous! Oh-- and…

Scarf It!

Written by
Even though it's supposed to be 60-something degrees tomorrow, it's a cold one today. And for the first time this season, I've worn a scarf as part of my not-so-fab work ensemble. (I'm no fashion plate, for sure.) If you're like me, you may want to fake that you actually can pull an outfit together (you just choose not to every day.) This video will give you the 411 on how to scarf like a pro:
