Smells Like Awesome

The great thing about music is that it's a uniting force. It doesn't know age, race, gender identity. It's something that anyone can appreciate. There aren't any rules. Liking a certain genre of music isn't exclusive to one group of people or another. It's just music. And when it's good, it's good.  Hip hop artist Ty Dolla $ign tweeted this way cool video of his band jammin' to Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit."   ???? pic.twitter.com/VCEehGGHvd — TyDolla $ign (@tydollasign) January 12, 2021 Ty said the first time he ever loved a rock song was "Smells Like Teen Spirit"-- so…

Cold Pizza

The internet has lost its mind over the way this guy eats pizza. When the slice is too hot, instead of waiting a sec for it to cool a little, he runs the slice UNDER WATER. Yes. Under. Water. Yum?   Water pizza He claims the pizza tastes the same, so...  Redditors had strong feelings about this dude: “Your husband is a racoon. Kick him out before he eats the cat!” (ryansfrechpress) “Don’t breed. This bloodline must end.” (rumplestiltskinxap) “Pineapple pizza lovers and pineapple pizza haters may not agree on much, but they can agree that your husband’s weird.” (EpicLegendX)…

Slip Into Some Cash

Written by
I have spent my entire life getting teased because I wear slippers. No. I don't wear slippers to Walmart (though that may seem acceptable). I like to wear slippers inside my home-- all year long. I like cushiony comfort. And now, my slipper wearing-- and yours, too. Could literally pay off. UK apparel company Bedroom Athletics needs a slipper tester to try out their new slippers. You’ll need to wear the slippers 12 hours a day, two days a month-- for an entire year-- and provide feedback. The best part? You'll be paid $450 a month ($5,400 a year) for your…

O-H Luv-U!

The Tide did roll in and overwhelm the Buckeyes during the National Championship Game. It wasn't pretty. But our love for our Buckeyes is unwaivering. Thank you for a great season, and a much-needed escape in our strange, new world. Let's remember that Sugar Bowl Championship a short while ago...

Did you stay up to watch the Browns win the Wild Card game? Right? A miracle already in 2021. Unless you plan on a sudden "I've-got-a-stomach-bug" call to your boss (which would be ill-advised, so to speak), you're gonna need to wake up and get to it. Here are a couple of non-caffeinated ways to WAKE UP at work today: Get outside for 15 minutes. That change of scenery in nature will break up your monotone, sterile environment (even if you're still working from home). If you can't move that body enough, stimulate your brain: Crossword puzzle. Sudoko.  Drink some…

I'm not a vanity license plate kind of person. I'm too cheap to get one, and... I don't need to draw attention to myself. But, I enjoy other people's plates. The State of Ohio doesn't always like some creative plates that Ohioans desire to place on their vehicles, though. I personally don't find some of these offensive. But, that's why I'm not in charge of anything. Click HERE to see the list of rejected vanity plates from 2020. You'll get a good laugh.

Pen Pal

Written by
It's amazing how we can feel disconnected in an over-connected world... I love technology, but I'm all for old school living, too. Sometimes, we need to be basic-- like reading actual books. Having a conversation using your voice on the phone. Using a pen and paper to write something down.  If you're feeling disconnected, why not find a pen pal and write a letter? Penpalooza has 7,000 members so far. Sign up; connect with someone; write a letter; make a new friend. Those that are participating say it's been a great way to feel connected and there's something to look…

Sherpa-duper

My obsession with looks-like-leather leggings has calmed a bit (with no regrets). Now that the weather is cold, my newest obsession is sherpa. I don't know why I haven't gotten friendly with sherpa a lot sooner. But now, it's true love. With the temps near artic inside our on-air studio at times, my trusty little jacket no longer keeps me warm enough. So now I keep a light jacket and queen sherpa at work so I can be comfy at all times. Here's my new buddy; Exact color I purchased. I'm just gonna put this out there, ladies-- get one.…

Forget Uber

Driving a car is soooo cliche. The next time you need to make a quick run to the store, why not jump on a buffalo to get there? Joel Lybbert is a horse trainer from Cardston, Albert. He got everyone's attention when he rode a buffalor to the grocery store last week. He performs at rodeos and fairs on his Texas Longhorn and buffalo, and has always wanted to tame that beastly bison: "It has always been a dream of mine to train a buffalo to ride. I have always esteemed it as the pinnacle of being a cowboy," said Lybbert.…
