I encourage responsible cyber slacking. I mean, seriously, you can only tolerate so many minutes (five) on a video conference call. LOL  So, if you need to take a break... these are some social media accounts I follow that are fun. On Twitter:  @Wendys: The most savage responses to tweets ever!  @dog_feelings (Thoughts of Dog): These tweets are written as a dog would speak.  @wofanswers (Wheel of Fortune Answers): Clips from Wheel of Fortune with the most wrong answers to these puzzles.  On Instagram: @this_girl_is_a_squirrel (Jill The Squirrel): If you love squirrels... I have to watch her stories every day!…

Only Love Can Do That

Are you shaking your head right now? I find myself, at times, in a daze. There is so much that we've had to face this year. And just when we thought we had turned the corner-- we're gut-punched by all this violence and destruction. If you're feeling scared, or confused, or angry-- or all of it-- you aren't alone. My emotions have run the gamut as well. Sometimes in a five minute span! I just want you to know that though I may not know you personally, I do care for you. I am thinking of you, and I wish…

This picture is my reaction to the horrible news that Pier 1 is shutting it all down. As I look around my homestead, there are so many pieces of furniture and home decor and gifts that have come from Pier 1. I used to joke with store employees that I could never work there because I would probably spend my entire paycheck there!  I'm having a small, private ceremony to lay to rest my Pier 1 credit card... Sigh. In all seriousness, I feel for the employees nationwide that will lose their jobs.  With that, I end this with: "Eat…

I wanted to share with you a really cool song that I find insprirational-- one that really captures a spirit of togetherness through this whole pandemic. My hope is that our togetherness doesn't fade away when things return to normal-ish. I do believe that we-- especially here int he NEO-- always look out for each other. Just so you know, JenY Nation, we're always with you-- through the good and the bad. And no matter what, we will always remain strong & resilient.  So, enjoy "We're All in This Together" from Northeast Ohio's own Ravenwood. (Find them on FB: @ravenwoodrocks)…

Food & Fun

Written by
With the Memorial Day holiday here, things feel a little more normal-ish than before. Perhaps you're gathering (safely) with family or friends, enjoying nature, laughing, having a few cocktails, and enjoying a cookout. Here's something I'm serving up today: Mediterranean Pasta Salad Ingredients: 1 pound tricolor pasta (like bow tie or fusilli) 1 cup of lite balsamic dressing (or more according to taste) 1/3 cup diced bell pepper 1/4 cup diced onion 2 large pepperoncini peppers, diced 1/4 cup halved black olives 1 1/2 ounces feta cheese, crumbled 1 1/2 tablespoons grated romano cheese Directions: Bring a large pot of…
