Bubble Life

So many people have been turning their home spaces into their own personal paradise/vacation spot/ultimate WFH nook, so this might pique your interest: a DIY gazebo for your backyard. Amazon is selling this gem from Palram Applications for $10,000. Yeah, I know. Steep. But this gazebo is rust-resistant, has crystal clear polycarbonate walls, and a UV protected roof. And... it's pretty cool. Check it out... maybe you could start a GoFundMe...               View this post on Instagram                       A post shared by Palram Applications…

Monday (4/12/21) was National Grilled Cheese Day. Y'all know how I feel about cheese. Every day could easily be grilled cheese day for me. So when I saw this mash up of two foods I enjoy, I thought to myself: "Must try." Banana Bread Grilled Cheese. Say what? I like banana bread. I love grilled cheese. Sweet and savory and yummy. In my mind, this already sounds fantastic. Will have to try IRL. Check this out:   @thepalatablelife i’m shook it’s so good #dontbesuspicious #bananabread #grilledcheese #cheese ♬ Don't be suspicious - io non so

That's a Croc!

Written by
Unpopular Opinion Time: I don't know if this is exactly an opinion, but a choice(?) I don't get Crocs. Everyone swears they're comfy. And I'm sure they are. But all I can think is "sweaty feet". And-- most people wear socks with Crocs, which are slip-ons, and 99.9% of the time you don't wear socks with any kind of open shoe, lest you face shame. I'm no fashionista, and we all know my name is not synonymous with "style".... But these Vera Bradley and Crocs mashup are cool to me. Sigh. Maybe the appeal to me is because I'm a…

Sunrise in a Glass

Written by
Some viral videos are idiotic. Some are cool. Put this one in the cool (and refreshing?) category. It may become your go-to beverage of summer: Corona Sunrise.  You basically take all the ingredients of a Tequila Sunrise, and pour it all into a bottle of Corona...    @kendogkenny Y’all need to try this now ? #coronasunrise ♬ SugarCrash! - ElyOtto

Louvre It!

Written by
Wanna travel, but still hestitant? Wanna travel, but don't want to spend the money right now? Whatever the reason, technology makes virtual travel pretty darned good. If you've wanted to see the Mona Lisa and Venus de Milo, you can. And you don't have to hop a plane to do it. The Louvre's entire art collection is now online to view. You'll also find works from Paris's Musée National Eugène-Delacroix, as well as sculptures from the nearby Tuileries and Carrousel gardens. And since the Louvre is on lockdown, you couldn't fight the crowds or put on your faux French accent…

Wine 'Em Up

"If only they paid me to drink wine..." I think I've uttered this phrase before. But wouldn't it be fab if someone paid you to drink wine? Well, fab is here. Murphy-Goode Winery has a one-year job opening in Sonoma. You'll live rent-free for a year. And drink wine. And get paid $10,000 a month.  I'm tearing up a bit...  For the first few months, you'll be concentrating on figuring out what aspect of winemaking speaks to you the most. The winery wants to make sure you're living your best wine life. To apply, you must be at least 21-years-old,…

For those of you who celebrate, how was the Easter feast? I know. Still full. Well, there's always room for dessert. And this is the dessert that I made yesterday. Okay, Baileys. We see you. In fact, we drink you. And you're making us want to drink you even more. You've always been the go-to to make that hot chocolate extra. Or coffee. Or straight-from-the-bottle when the day's a tad difficult. You dazzled us with Baileys Apple Pie Liqueur last fall. And now... you're gonna make summer even better because you dropped this limted-edition gem: We surrender...

Waffling

Written by
I feel like I'm always hungry in the morning-- which I am. Normal people get up and eat something. I get up at a weird hour and don't eat a proper meal until I get home from work some 10+ hours later. I nibble on some kind of nutritious breakfast bar (that's NOT the sausage gravy and biscuits that I really want.) This waffle hack makes we want waffles-- now! Let's try this out and compare notes.    Tyler The Creator for the win. And now, we're winning!
