Upcycled

I wish I had some skills. I don't. But some of y'all are completely awesome! Like this woman right here. What's that saying? "One man's junk is another man's treasure?"    See the photos of this bar cart's transformation HERE. Impressive. Mad skills. If you've upcycled something, I'd love to see the pics!

Masked Bandits

Written by
It's not their fault they live the thieving life. They were born with natural face masks, so racoons must steal for a living. LOL  These two cuties broke into a California bank with one goal in mind: Secure the almond cookies! Apparently, the pair knew the good stuff would be inside because they climbed a tree and accessed the bank through an air duct. Then, they cased the joint-- discovering the aforementioned cookies. An employee thought one of the racoons was a stuffed animal sitting on someone's desk. Wrong! Unfortunately, these hardened hungry criminals weren't able to grab what they…

Smells Like Chicken

Written by
If you're like me, the smell of items scented like food just keeps me hungry 24/7. So while this is a cool idea, I can't have one. The KFC Fried Chicken-Scented Firelog.  The 11 Herbs & Spices Firelog has sold out the past two years, so you'd better get your booty over to Walmart ASAP. Cost: $15.88. It should've been $11, right? Grab a bucket of chicken, make your house smell like chicken... turn into a chicken... LOL

A Chester Christmas

Written by
It's almost here! Ugly Christmas Sweater Season! Admittedly, I think some of the "ugly" sweaters are actually cool. Like this new ugly sweater that you may consider rockin' this holiday season-- The Cheetos Flamin' Hot Chester Cheetah Sweater: It's... cheesy. Or cheese-tastic depending on how you look at it. Since there aren't any Christmas decorations in the styling of this sweater, methinks you can actually enjoy this flavor during any cold weather month.  Bonus: You have the perfect place to wipe your hands after eating Cheetos, so...

I don't care what Bruce Willis says. Die Hard is a Christmas movie to me! Yes, Bruce starred in the movie... but I obviously don't care. LOL Regardless of where you fall when it comes to the "is it or isn't it" debate about the movie, we can all unite over the awesomeness that is John McClane's return...   I can't tell you how many times I've watched this already. And yes, I will be watching Die Hard soon. Gotta get into the holiday spirit! :)

That's Nutty!

The squirrels in Sweden are complete BEEFCAKE! Who knew they were pumping iron ala Ah-nold? Photographer Geert Weggen staged a photo op where it appreared squirrels were lifting dumbells made of twigs and nut clusters. So stinkin' cute and hilarious at the same time. In order to attract his squirrel buddies, he hung the barbells in the air, then placed some food above it so the furry creatures would have to climb on the barbells to access the food.  Clever.  He then snapped pics of them in action, so it looked like they were lifting these dumbells. To see the…

Out of the Mouths of Babes

Kids are truly amazing. I love how their minds work-- coming up with interesting names for everyday things. The Huff Post asked their Facebook community to share what kids call common things. Like this one: "My son calls grated parmesan cheese ‘spaghetti sprinkles’ and now our whole family calls it that. It makes spaghetti sound so much more fun and festive!” ― Jess Marshall My husband calls Parmesan cheese "sprinkle cheese", while I call over-easy eggs "dippy eggs." Here's another one: “My 5-year-old calls aprons ‘baking capes.’” ― Katherine Quinn This one is literal: “My kids called the washing machine the ‘wetter’ ― as in…
